Scholarship Award
Dear Applicant:
The Rousseau Foundation is proud to announce our Annual Culinary Scholarship Award, created to support aspiring culinary students with the cost of their education.
Eligible applicants must be graduating high school seniors planning to enroll as first-year students in a college, culinary institute, or vocational program for the Fall 20____ semester, or individuals currently enrolled in a culinary program.
Selected recipients will be honored and awarded a scholarship to the accredited culinary school of their choice, provided they have received acceptance. Scholarships will be issued in the form of a gift card upon verification of all application materials and final approval by the selection committee. Awards are granted twice annually—once in the Fall and once in the Winter.
To be considered, applicants must carefully review and meet the following eligibility requirements:
Eligibility Criteria
Must be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in a culinary program
Must reside in the Philadelphia, PA area
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
Must provide proof of enrollment prior to the disbursement of funds
Application Requirements
Please read all sections of the application thoroughly and ensure the following:
Clearly print all required information
Sign and date the application (unsigned applications will not be processed)
Attach an official high school transcript showing GPA
Include a letter of acceptance from your college, university, or culinary school
Submit a typed personal statement (350–400 words)
(Handwritten essays will not be accepted)
Note: Completed applications are due by May 15th annually.
